Soon after releasing iOS 9.2 for smartphone and the tablets, Apple has also released tvOS 9.1 for its new Apple TV 4 set-top box. tvOS 9.1 is the first major software update for Apple TV 4 after a minor update tvOS 9.0.1, which was released in November.
tvOS 9.1 software update for Apple TV brings under the hood performance enhancements, tweaks and numerous bug fixes to the Apple TV operating system. This latest software update carries a build number 13U85. Apple TV 4 tvOS 9.1 brings support for Apple’s own Remote app, which means users will be able to use Remote app with their Apple TV 4.
The tvOS 9.1 also enables Apple TV users to use voice commands via Siri to search through Apple Music library. It means, with tvOS 9.1, Apple TV 4 users will be able to use a voice command through Siri to search a play any specific song from Apple Music library.

How to install tvOS 9.1 on Apple TV 4
You can easily install tvOS 9.1 software update as an OTA update from within your Apple TV’s software. Depending on the settings, your set-top box either automatically download and install the software update without user’s intervention, or it may prompt your to install the download tvOS 9.1 software update on your Apple TV.
To manually install an OTA tvOS update, simply go to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software on your Apple TV. This should prompt you for the software update.
